Sumire(Violet) Yoshida

I completed my MA in Graphic Communication Design at Central
Saint Martins in 2024, where I focused on researching typography
and communication.
During my undergraduate studies, I majored in sociology and participated in a consulting project in Bangladesh to support social entrepreneurs. This experience helped me realise the importance of design in enabling people to communicate visually, even when they do not share a common language. After graduating from university,
I worked for one of the largest HR companies in Japan, initially as
a salesperson and later as an internal communications planner.
In this role, I worked on the client side, collaborating with designers
on various projects.
Building on my past experiences, I aspire to become a designer who can effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and make a positive impact on society
